The Aurora Historical Society presented the Roots Aurora Cultural Champions awards on September 6 during the 2019 festival. Barbetta Neil and Cindi & Jeff Reuland were honored for keeping alive the traditions of their heritage — African American and Luxembourger, respectively. Congressman Bill Foster was on hand.
