The Aurora Historical Society’s exhibit, “Here Comes the Bride,” which was originally scheduled to close on August 12, has been extended by popular demand by four extra weeks, through Saturday, September 9.
The exhibit features nearly thirty wedding dresses from the Historical Society’s collections, ranging from 1853 to 1976.
The exhibit is at the David L. Pierce Art & History Center, 20 E. Downer Place in downtown Aurora. Open hours are Wednesday through Friday from Noon to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Following the wedding exhibit, a new exhibition in October will feature some of the favorite and most interesting pieces from the Historical Society’s collections.
