Richard Miller joined the Navy at age 17 and survived the kamikaze attacks which sank his ship, the USS Drexler, off Okinawa in 1945. In this photo, he receives the first slice of a chocolate cake, baked for veterans by AHS gift shop assistant, Josephine Slade.
