Without a doubt Ruth VanSickle Ford, 1897-1989, is Aurora’s best-known artist and arts educator, and the Aurora Historical Society will pay tribute to her on the occasion of her 125th birthday year.

Her colorful and dynamic paintings, dozens of which will be on display, won her awards and admiration and she taught many aspiring artists both in Chicago and throughout the Fox Valley.
