Due to a high volume of artifacts in process, we are unable to accept new artifact donations until June 2024.
We are grateful for your consideration and look forward to hearing from you in June. In the meantime, here are a few things you can do to prepare for your donation:
Consider a financial gift to help fund the curatorial department. The curator is the staff member who processes and preserves your artifact donation.
Review our donation guidelines.
Remove any artifacts that are damaged or otherwise in poor condition.
Remove any artifacts that do not have a direct relationship with Aurora, Illinois.
Write or type an inventory of donated items.
Try to identify people and places in photographs.
Write down the provenance of the artifacts (When are they from? Who used them? How were they used?
