The Parlor has seen many happy celebrations since 1857. The Smiths (on right), from the Peoria area, visited the Tanner House June 23, 2019, on a weekend tour of historic places in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. Here they are in the Parlor with docents Spiros Koliopoulis and Mary Caffee Twait.
They suggested we re-name the Parlor *The Wow Room* because of its exuberant decor. Open for tours at 1,2 and 3 pm every Wednesday and Sunday until September 29. Free, donations appreciated. Closed July 3 to prepare for the picnic on the 4th.
